About the image:  I'm thinking that we all remember a beautiful sunset that just slowed us down and created that deep breath moment of pause and wonder for how incredible it was.  Those moments are special.  After I saw this one - I couldn't get it off of my mind ... for WEEKS!  So.....I  finally decided to get in the studio and paint it.

The painting was inspired by a non-professional snapshot taken at a beach in the San Diego area that special sunset eve this last winter (the pandemic winter!)  

I've always loved living near the coast and have a big appreciation for the special moments and energy of watermen and women like these guys in the image get to enjoy when the timing is just right.
