I have a very limited number of paintings or prints from time to time available already custom framed. 

These paintings or prints may have been used for a photo project, designer showcase or exhibition.   In the case of Sonoma and Old Vines if you would like to purchase it framed as in the photo $300 will be added to the cost of the original painting.   This frame adds Approx. 5"  to each side of the painting.  **The near wholesale cost of this  top quality custom framing is passed on to you and can not be duplicated.  


Sonoma and Old Vines - Original Oil - This original oil painting is 40 x 30 (unframed) – and was an image that when I decided to paint it, I felt would look best with a more textured painting technique. 

**The painting has been custom framed which you can see in the photos included. The  painting can be removed from the frame if you prefer and the option is given to purchase with our without the frame.   The framing adds another 3 to 4 inches all around the painting. 

About the painting:  I was inspired to paint this painting after a wonderful, carefree, adults-only driving trip to Northern California wine country –detouring through other wine areas where cousins of mine live along the way.

It was a beautiful time of year, catching it just right for wild blooming fields of mustard on hillsides everywhere.   In  this painting the blooms were covering the fields of an old vineyard property where we can see some large sized, gnarled  stumps of old grape vines peeking up among the blooms.

This scene with the perfect, well-kept Victorian style home on the property is purely a scene from my imagination and put together from random reference photos I shot on the trip and surrounded myself with when I returned to the studio.
