ABOUT the image: As a lover of color and beauty, flowers have always captured my attention. Not only is it their beauty and, sometimes their fragrance that I appreciate but also the moments of pause and appreciation I have when slowing down to take special notice of them.
I have been a fan of roses for years and at the last home we owned enjoyed the luxury of a beautiful rose garden with well over 100 bushes that we choose and planted. I have a library archive of photos I have taken in that garden that I often return to for inspiration and living in San Diego area, a favorite day off afternoon is a trip to Balboa Park and spending time in the amazing Rose Gardens there. I always have my trusty phone camera or another camera with me for taking pictures of the blooms as they catch my eye.
Red Rose- Love is a stunning and amazingly detailed painting. A classic Red Rose is often the best choice for expressing your deepest affection for someone special. To most of us it is a symbol of love. At the same, it has been shown that colors affect us physically which I believe is one of reasons why color was one of the main things that attracted me to art in the first place.
One of my favorite colors to be working with is red. The color red has been shown to increase enthusiasm, encourage action and confidence as well as provide a sense of protection from fears and anxiety. In the practice of Feng Shui, the color red represents power and is considered a lucky color that enhances love and romance.
With all that in mind.. I believe that everyone should have more of the lucky color red around them in their home somewhere. What more beautiful and lasting way to do that than with a painting - and one that symbolizes LOVE as well!I
