Monkeys and Bananas is an Original Oil sized 14 x 22.   It is painted on portrait quality linen canvas which is a  favorite of mine for detailed artworks.

The original has been custom framed as pictured and can be purchased with or without the frame.   The Original Oil painting  'Monkeys and Bananas'  is available as well as Limited Edition Prints which are signed and numbered by the artist and also as fine art Prints of various sizes  to choose from and printed on different materials you can also choose from to have it printed on along with frame choices.

About the painting:  Classic and a bit whimsical at the same time - Monkeys and Bananas  was  the first painting in a small series and there is a companion piece ' Cheetah and Palm' that I painted second that really does look fantastic next to this one as a pair -  as seen in the photo shown of the two custom framed paintings over the sofa.  

I began this series of paintings - of which there are only 3 at this point - with an idea of having a design and decor solution that would be simplistic, classic in appeal and would feature an element from tropics - like palms and banana trees along with animals that most find so special.     These paintings where something that would look well in my own home and I loved the idea of featuring favorite animals in this classic way.  I began by an idea.. then researching a certain palm - for example - then sketching, in detail a final drawing before transferring that drawing on to my canvas to paint.

Bottom line is I would like to paint more of these.... but, thus far have been busy on other projects!

**Special note  about the frame**  This is  high quality, custom framing that I thought would look especially nice with these images and the pricing offered to you at a near wholesale price.   I have a number of paintings available from time to time that have been framed for display purposes and any great deal you are able to take advantage of when offered this way cannot be duplicated. 

 

I have a very limited number of paintings or prints from time to time available already custom framed. 

These paintings or prints may have been used for a photo project, designer showcase or exhibition.   In the case of Cheetah and Palm and Monkeys and Bananas,  if you would like to purchase either  framed as in the photo $175.00 will be added to the cost of the original painting.   This frame adds Approx. 3"  to each side of the painting. 

**A near wholesale cost of this  top quality custom framing is passed on to you and can not be duplicated.

Monkeys and Bananas - Prints of this classic yet whimsical image are available in multiple sizes  and on a number of different surfaces on which it can be printed along with faming options to choose from.

About the image: Monkeys and bananas was the first painting of 3 where I wanted to create a simple, classic, elegant - yet whimsical and 'friendly' series of images that would include animals and a simple tropical feeling tree like a palm - or in this case, a banana tree.  Thus far, I have only painted 3 images in the series but would like to paint more.

Cheetah and Palm was the initial companion piece to Monkeys and Bananas.  They look terrific side by side as a pair.

Classic and whimsical the Original Oil  and  Limited Edition Prints  sized 14"w x 22"  that are signed and numbered by the artist are also available.
