The written messages in "Every Challenge Offers a Gift":
"I got this"
Positive self-talk that is I believe is an attitude that is helpful to have when meeting a challenge.
"Growing"
Like a necklace at the top neck area of the stem is what I believe we all do, we GROW when we meet and go through challenges. (even if we didn't want to!)
Identified in the image below, collaged and layered behind the scenes of the painting are:
1) a person walking through the snow in a snow storm with an umbrella - walking through a challenge
2) one of Monet's paintings of the bridge over water of his garden pond that he painted AFTER he started loosing his eyesight -working with a challenge
3) a man in his business suit, umbrella in hand and briefcase in other walking a tightrope - this represents actual challenges of many - the balancing of challenges and life of career, family +++
4) a pot of gold coins spilling out near the end of a rainbow - symbolizing a gift found after conquering a challenge
5) wrapped gifts - symbols of the gifts one receives when going through a challenge - sometimes wrapped, or hidden - and not seen - until unwrapped
6) figure climbing the ladder to a GOAL - a classic symbol
7) a figure struggling to open a door not easily opened to get to where one wants to go - certainly a classic symbol of many things worth while - to get that breakthrough can take effort and persistence
The anthurium is a flower I chose for a reason. Anthuriums are strong and beautiful at the same time and in my experience the blooms can endure and hang in there a long time without excessive attention and pampering.
