A Visit with O'Keeffe - White Flower on Red Earth: Prints
A Visit with O'Keeffe - White Flower on Red Earth - Fine Art Prints - available in multiple sizes which can be printed on a number of different surfaces - such as archival canvas, paper or metal (and more!) along with various framing options. This image is also available on multiple Products.
About the painting: The original painting was inspired by the original artwork by Georgia O'Keeffe. As a lover of flowers and one who has painted many, I've often had questions relating my work to that of O'Keeffe. One quiet studio day with a blank canvas in front of me and my ever present studio calendar of O'Keeffe images as company - I decided to do my own version of one of her works. Her version of this image was a little more rectangular in shape, the bloom cut off a bit at the bottom compared to my version and with less vivid of coloring. I just got to work on my square canvas available and enjoyed the process thoroughly!
A fun aside is that some years ago there was a new magazine being launched for SMART art collectors that I was complemented to be interviewed for. (and which I still have many copies of stored away somewhere! lol) In this magazine it featured one of my flower images and compared my work to O'Keeffe's. I was quite complemented at the time. ;-)
